About

Experience. Expertise. Escotech.

History

Based right outside of Dallas, Texas, Escotech is a family business headed up by master mechanical technician Pedro Escobar. Originally working out of New York for Prospero Equipment Corp., Pedro built up a reputation over the course of 25 years with the winery and brewing world as a premier service technician. There he honed his skills working on almost all machines associated with beverage, from depalletizers, to fillers, to labelers, and everything in between.

In 2008, he took on an apprentice in his oldest son, Pedro Escobar Jr. Jr worked along side Pedro for a few years before moving to head up the mechanical maintenance department at Brooklyn Brewery. Jr. now works full time for Escotech on the east coast.

In 2012, Pedro Sr. took on Ivan Escobar as an apprentice. Ivan currently works with Escotech as a full time technician.

Growing a bit weary of the busy NY life, Pedro decided to move to Texas to be closer to his family and easier access to the east and west coast. Now he has a backyard, a dog, and a machine shop. Our central location helps with getting to clients as fast as we can for emergency service. Our many contacts with distributors and manufactures help insure that we get the parts you need and in some situations, even have them manufactured in our machine shop. We currently house a variety of manufacturing equipment and have testing devices for a full range of packaging equipment.

owner/head technician

Pedro Escobar SR.

For more than 30 years, Pedro has be one of the premier mechanical technicians in North America. He began his work with Prospero under the guidance of the head technician at the time. With almost no education or experience in the field, he proved that his outside the box thinking and almost too stubborn work ethic was more than enough to propel him into the role of Head Engineer. No problem is too big or too small, too simple or to complex. If it’s broken, he can fix it, and if he can’t fix it, he will know who can.
